DESCRIPTION:
The ORP Pronto (HI982401) is a simple-to-operate and practical meter for ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) measurements. It continuously monitors ORP from 0 to 999 mV. The operators can set the ORP value to the optimum level for their Aquarium. The HI 982401 front case incorporates a large, bright LED indicator. Should the measurements fall below the user-selectable ORP value,the red LED starts flashing to alert the operator of an undesired condition.Both the LCD showing the measurements and the LED can be seen from a distance.HI 982401 has been manufactured to serve as a monitor for aquariumsand start-up research where only the ORP needs to be checkedand space or costs are major factors. Thanks to its compact size of 8 cm (3“) diameter, HI 982401 can be mounted in confined spaces and right next to the aquarium or barrel containing the water. This casing alsoincorporates a molded eye so that it can installed on the wall with a screw. Anycombination ORP electrode ending in a BNC connector can be hooked up to the meter. It is howeverrecommended to use HI 3214P/2 which is specifically designed foraquariums, etc. It has a fiber salt-bridge which is particularly suitable for these applications. HI 3214P/2 also comeswith a double junction reference chamber which minimizes fouling and prolongselectrode life. Two meters (6.6’) of screened cable and a molded externalthread to facilitate both tank and in-line installations complete theoutstanding features of this electrode. HI 982401 is powered by 12 VDCin order to provide better security and continuity of measurements. A 12VDCtransformer is also included with the meter.
