DESCRIPTION:
The HI981408 pH Gro'Chek has been specifically designed to address the needs of the operators in the hydroponics, greenhouses and nurseries. The meter has all the characteristics necessary to check the pH of the fertilizer mix during its preparation. HI981408 is sturdy and waterproof. It also floats so that it can be quickly retrieved if accidentally dropped in the tank. The HI 1219 rugged pH electrode supplied with the meter is constructed using the latest double junction technology and a Hanna exclusive replenishable fiber junction. In addition, the HI 1219 probe measures 25 cm (10”) and can be even used to mix the fertilizer solution! Should the need arise to change the electrode, simply detach and replace it without having to take it to a specialist. We have also thought of a rubber sleeve to protect the connector against humidity and spills. To resolve the problem of batteries going down and requiring frequent replacement, our R&D team has produced a meter that will run for 2000 hours continuously on the common AA-type batteries that come with it. This translates itself into more than 2 years of continuous service if the meter is used for up to 2 hours a day, every day of the week! Calibration too has been simplified to one-point through a dial right on the front of the meter. The outer casing also incorporates a molded eye so that the meter can be hung when not in use.
