DESCRIPTION:
The HI 981406 has been specially designed for aquarium andswimming pool applications where both pH and ORP (Oxidation ReductionPotential) need to be monitored. Instead of having to source two differentmeters and worry about wiring and compatibility, you can now continuouslymeasure both pH and ORP with HI 981406. There are two separate setpointsfor pH and ORP which the operator can adjust at will. Once the pH setpoint isexceeded, the appropriate LED light will come on to alert the operator.Likewise, once the ORP level drops below the setpoint, the red ORP light willstay on. HI 981406 is supplied with HI 1283 ground probe.The HI 1283 ground probe provides you with more reliable readout.It basically prevents currents which are prevalent in tanks from disturbing themeasurements. The optional HI 2114P/2 pH electrode and HI 3214P/2ORP electrode are specially designed withfiber salt-bridge is particularly resistant to clogging.The electrodes also come with the sophisticated double junction referencechamber which minimizes fouling and prolongs the electrode life. Bothelectrodes are tooled with an external thread to facilitate both tank andin-line installations. To improve accuracy, HI 981406 can be calibratedat 2 points for the pH measurements. Compact and conveniently designed, HI981406 can be simply mounted on a wall or panel close to the monitoringpoint with just 4 screws. In order to provide better security and continuity ofmeasurements, the meter is powered by 12 VDC. A transformer is also included inthe complete package.The HI 981406 is supplied with HI 1283 grounding bar,calibration solutions, screwdriver, 12VDC and instructions.
