
DESCRIPTION:
The HI8614 is a two-wire water-resistant transmitter designed to accept high impedance signalsdirectly from a pH electrode. The amplifier transmits an isolated 4-20mA output current that is directly proportionalto the input signal but is independent of changes in load or cable capacitance. The isolated input prevents problems caused by ground loops and low insulation cables. Calibration is performed with one or two trimmers for offsetand slope adjustments. Temperature compensation for pH measurements can be performed by the HI8614's ATCcircuitry with an external temperature probe, HI76608 (optional). If ATC is not required, a resistor can provide a fixed temperaturecompensation. The transmitter is connected to the Data Acquisition System up to a distance of 4000 feet away. The IP65 enclosure allows electrical connections without exposing instrument circuitry to the environment.
