DESCRIPTION:
The Rules Table Window is the screen you see when you Click on the "Step 1 - RULES TABLE"
Tab. This is where you verify the Rules you had configured in the Control Tab are indeed
exactly as you desire prior to downloading into the FlexPLC. If any rule is not correct then you can select it with the click of your mouse
and then click the Delete Selected Rule button. Or you may DELETE ALL Rules and start all over.
The File Menu has; "Load Rules Table", "Save Rules Table" and "Print Rules Table"
options to allow you the ability
to Load and Save Rules Tables to your computers hard drive for future use, or for exchanging amongst your friends, and
to Print Rules Tables for a hardcopy reference and archiving.
As you can see above, we
still have our Clock Rules defined as described on the prevoius page of the tour to turn Output #1 ON at
7:00AM and then OFF at 6:30PM. We have also added another set of Rules that turns Output #2 ON when the Input Signal at
Input #1 goes to a Low State (ie: a Closed switch position). From a hardware viewpoint you may have a pump
connected at Output #2 to go ON when a Level switch at Input #1 goes low and then have that pump shut OFF
when the level switch goes back to a Hi State (ie: Open switch position). This is a simple example of
an automatic water top-off system.
AAS also provides a downloadable Rules Table Worksheet with examples
to assist you in defining your own Rules Table prior to actually Configuring your FlexPLC.
The combinations of the rules and the flexability to adapt to your unique system setup is virtually
unlimited. The possibilities are tremendous and the ease to configure the FlexPLC to obey your rules
could not be simpler!
