Our Goal: a Constant pH value.
In the optimum community aquarium where tropical fish from geographically and chemically differing waters can be cared for, a neutral pH value is recommended.
AAS pH Electrode (glass electrode)
There are two options when selecting a pH electrode from AAS. One choice is the pH Electrode manufactured by Hanna Instruments, the AAS PH-HI1001. This in-line probe requires no special Tee fittings, just a standard 1" NPT(F) PVC Tee. The second choice is the AAS PH-E27003-00 Flat Surface pH Electrode. This electrode is a double-junction electrode which employs a flat surface design. The Flat surface electrode does not collect suspended solids and the fluid flow across the surface of the electrode provides a cleaning action that extends the life of your electrode and improves performance. This Electrode is mounted in a CPVC Housing and can withstand pressures to 100 psi. It measures in a range from pH 0 to 13 in a temperature range of -5 °C to +80°C. All AAS pH Electrodes are mounted in a TEE fitting installed in the Return line of your filter system. The signal transmitted by either electrode is routed to the AAS PH-HI8614 4-20mA pH Transmitter where it is converted to a 4-20mA current signal that can be sent up to a distance of 1000 feet back to the AAS CPU Controller where processing is performed in order to display the pH value on the AAS User Interface Panel. When used in conjunction with the AAS CO2 Injection System the pH of your aquarium can be controlled automatically. Or if used alone can be used for pH monitoring and trend analysis only.
